Manna Christian Centre is an award winning Christian bookshop situated in Streatham, South London.
Manna was started in September 1981 through a vision that a member of Streatham Baptist Church had about having a Christian witness on the busy Streatham High Road, through books and counselling.
It was earlier in the 1970's that the Lord laid a vision on members of that Church for an "Open Door" on the High Road. We were conscious that our message neeeded to be more readily available to people on the street. So our aim and vision was to provide this "Open Door" where during the week the general public could come into contact with the gospel message...

You have read that there are big changes afoot with the London Mennonite Centre, and also with Metanoia Books.
As we look to relocate the London Mennonite Centre and secure our work on a sustainable basis, we're having to radically re-think how we get top quality theology, peace, social justice, church development and Anabaptism titles into wider circulation.
For years, Metanoia Books has been a quality retail and trade service. But with the huge growth in online services like Amazon, it's impossible to compete on the same basis.
So when LMC relocates, Metanoia will be giving way to a more manageable Centre bookstall while we work with Ekklesia and other partners in promoting books online in a way that reduces overheads and enables us to make a modest profit...

Our Centre Manager - Julie Ann Ellis - has many years of experience in the retail trade and the selecting and provision of Christian books and other resources. Julie Ann is ably supported by her team at the Centre and behind the scenes. You are most welcome to drop in for a chat and a browse anytime we are open - which is Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm...
